Öhlins Racing AB is looking for an EHS engineer (Environment Health Safety)

At Öhlins we develop suspension systems for the future that support our customers to ride faster, safer, and more comfortable by car, MC or MTB. The quality group lead by Magnus Lindman is now looking to hire an engineer that will be a part of the company environment and safety commitment.

Magnus, what type of environment and safety will this position work with?

As EHS engineer, you will be the expert of, and lead everybody at the company regarding, environment, health, and safety related topics.

The core for the position is cooperation and managing of environmental related tasks. The work will include support to the management group of the environmental strategy, support a manager with risk assessment of a new chemical, report Öhlins EHS performance to the EHS coordinator at Tenneco, interpret the updated legislation of environmental declaration of our products. And most of the things in between. The foundation for the position is always to support and guide all colleges in EHS related topics.

What competence is required to perform the work?

Valued personal properties are that you are accountable, analytic, thorough and solution oriented. You have a college or university education in Energy & Environment, Work & Health or similar. To thrive with us at Öhlins, I believe you are curious as a person and can initiate your own work, but also finish already started tasks. Documentation is key, therefore you need good ability in written communication. Additional abilities that enable your success is clear communication in Swedish and English. Preferably you have a couple of years of experience of work from manufacturing industry or work environment legislation in Sweden.

Magnus, how do you describe the group?

I manage a group of engineers and technicians where it is as matter of course to support each other so that everybody succeeds with your and our tasks. The current focus of the group is product and component Quality, the EHS work tasks are related. They will be transferred to you from the different colleges that perform some of the tasks at present. You will be able to form and adjust the way of working in cooperation with the colleges.

There is a sense of security in being able to be yourself and say your opinion, which is incredibly important for us to be able to develop the business together. Curiosity, teamwork, and good cohesion characterize the group.
