Öhlins Racing is now looking for an Embedded SW Application Engineer
As an Embedded SW Application Engineer at Öhlins Racing your everyday life involves innovative embedded development for our electronically controlled suspension systems and the opportunity to work close with the leading motorcycle and car manufacturers worldwide.
Job description
You will join our mechatronics group where your competence will become an important part of our success. The team contribute to the mechatronic suspension systems of the future that will help our customers drive faster, safer, and more comfortable. The team’s success is built on our willingness to challenge and develop each other. In our team, knowledge sharing is a natural part of everyday life.
As an Embedded SW Application Engineer, you work closely with our end customers where you are responsible for developing customer-specific adaptations of our suspension systems. You focus on customer functionality and are involved in the entire development process from requirements and design to testing and implementation. It also includes being involved in the formulation of verification tests and participating in vehicle testing and system testing on the road. You will also be on site with the customer as the responsible calibration engineer during their performance test.
As an Embedded SW Application Engineer your work will include:
• Implementation in C
• Requirements management at both system level and software level
• Close collaboration with vehicle manufacturers in projects
• Software test and system test
• Architectural work and software design
• Integration of suspension systems on vehicles
• Subproject management
• Calibration of algorithms to optimize performance
Your profile

For this position you need:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum five years of development in C for embedded systems
• Knowledge in requirements management
Since you will be working in an international environment you need to be fluent in English, if you also have knowledge in Swedish, we see it as a big plus!
If you also have experience of one or more of the following, we see it as an additional advantage:
• Working with integration of electronics, software, and other system components
• Automated testing of software and system testing in a HIL environment
• Python and C#
• Modeling in UML
• Structured work with version control system
• ISO-26262 and working in projects with requirements for Automotive SPICE and MISRA
