Öhlins Racing AB is now looking for a Purchasing Manager

You now have the opportunity to be part of the development of the suspension of the future and thereby helping our customers ride faster, safer and more comfortable.

As Purchasing Manager you will hold a key position within the Öhlins organization where your business skills and technical know-how are directly crucial.

In this position you are responsible for the Purchasing department in Upplands Väsby with full staff and budget responsibility. The Purchasing department currently consists of three groups, Project Purchasing, Supplier Quality Assurance and Arrival Control / Measurement Lab. Each group is led by a Team Leader who reports to the Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing department consists of 13 co-workers and as Purchasing Manager you report directly to VP for Operations.

Main responsibilities

• Together with Global Strategic Sourcing develop purchasing strategies for Öhlins globally

• Continuously develop the purchasing processes

• Continuously develop the supplier base to the set requirements and expectations

• Continuously work with cost efficiency for purchased components

• Secure supply of material to Öhlin's factory in Upplands Väsby

• People development – continuously develop the team and the individuals to ensure readiness for tomorrow’s challenges.

This position is located at Öhlins Racing headquarters in Upplands Väsby.  

Experience & General Qualifications

You have good technical knowledge with a focus on manufacturing processes for mechanical parts. You have at least five years' experience within purchasing.

Appropriate education is a BSc / MSc in Engineering or an MBA with technical knowledge.


You are an experienced manager with great team building skills. You also need to have great social and communication skills since you will have many contact interfaces, both externally and internally.
